Antons was a Lithuanian man who served as custodian and all-around handyman. He had a fold-up camera. He often took photos and many of these had his image in them. He was able to do this by climbing on someone’s back or doing other stunts while the camera whirred away. We often saw him chopping wood outside or feeding the coal furnace in the basement. He was always friendly with the youngsters, but due to the language barrier, real communication with him was lacking.
