Braised Swiss Chard

Gorgeous greens, glistening with olive oil and studded with bacon, make a crowd-pleasing side dish to serve with grilled meats. I love both the red and green Swiss chard. For this recipe, I have omitted the stems, which tend to be tough, but if you would like to use them, chop them into ½-inch pieces and boil them for ten minutes, drain them, and then stir them into the braise.
