Defects refer to a product deviating from the standards of its design or from the customer’s expectation. Many defects are caused by incorrect method due to nonstandard operations, differences in the way that processes are undertaken by different operators on different shifts, fail to maintain the equipment, machines and fixtures allowing defects to occur. This type of waste can be eliminated by rework it or sailing it to suitable shop.
